Addie Lee Portis

Addie Lee Portis was born on July 31, 1935, in Shelby, Alabama to the late Mr. Clifton and Mrs. Paralee Lee. She was the youngest of eight children born in this union.

She accepted Christ and joined the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in 1999 under the leadership of Pastor Richard Kidd Sr. Addie was a devoted and loving wife, mother and homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed the outdoors, reading the bible, and gardening. 

Addie left her earthly body and became present with the Lord on January 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 73 years, George Washington Tillman Portis, parents Clifton and Paralee Lee, sisters, Betty Lee, Paris Lee Maddox, Minnie Lee Rogers, brothers: Tad Lee, E.B. Lee, Clifton Lee Jr., Otis Lee,five children: Waverly, Douglass, Donald, David, Darren; one grandson: Adaly Dailey. One great granddaughter Delilah Jade Portis, One sister-in-law: Gertrude Parker, brother-in-law Sam Tillman, daughter-in-law Ivy Jean (Doug) Portis. 

Addie leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter, Carla (Maurice)Portis-Dailey, of Clay, Alabama, two sons, Stanley (Crystal) Portis of Columbiana, Alabama, Steve Portis of Columbiana, Alabama, daughter-in-law: Dora Portis(Darren),10 grandchildren: Douglass(Laurie) Portis Jr., Savannah Portis, Santanna Portis, Ethan Portis, Rain Portis, Maleigha Portis, Forever Portis, Daly Dailey, Trystan Portis, Leelan Portis, Five great-grandchildren: Damien Portis, Ramiro Palomino, Donovan Portis, Emma Cisneros, Izabella Cisneros, Zayden Portis, one sister-in-law Missouri Lee. A hosts of loving and devoted nieces and nephews, Her community, Ms. Ollie Mae Mitchell, Willie (Queen) Roper, Melinda (Damien) Garrett, and a host of other relative and friends.
