In humble submission to the will of God, Sunset Memorial Chapel, Inc. sadly announces the passing of Mr. Eddie Howard Smith, 79, Mr. Smith transitioned into eternal rest and peace Friday, March 20, 2015 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL Although we are saddened by his passing, we rejoice in knowing that he's in a land "where he'll never grow old." Farewell, Mr. Smith, you were tired and needed your rest. You were called forth by God, and your soul was truly blessed. We will not weep and mourn because we don't see you on this side anymore. We know that you'll be waiting to meet us on the other shore

A Service of Love and Celebration will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015 from the Shiloh Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Al. with the Reverend Charles F. Lilly, pastor, Reverend Erastus Godfrey,Eulogist. His earthly vessel will be laid to rest in the stillness of the Pine Grove Church Cemetery. Mr. Smith will lie in repose one hour prior to the service. Public viewing will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
