Gladys Cook

Mrs. Gladys Cook, was born August 5,1948 to the  late Mr. Willie Lee Merritt and Mrs. Lillie Mae Swain Merritt.

She joined Mt. Mariah Baptist Church at and early age, and later moved her membership to Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Childersburg, AL.

She attended  R.R. Moton school  class of 1966.

Mrs. Cook married Mr. James E. Cook on  January 22,1978.

Mrs. Cook departed this life on Thursday March 20,2014 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.

Mrs. Cook leaves to cherish her sweet memories: A Loving Husband: James E. Cook ;Two Daughters; Jacqueline (Rondell) Muse of Talladega AL, and LaKeisha (Chris) Merritt of Childersburg, AL  Two Sons: Reginald (Detoria) Merritt of Talladega, AL  and Darrick (Crystal) Merritt of   El Paso TX, 20 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grand Children, three Sister: Janet (Rudolph) Reynolds of Childersburg, AL, Cindy Simmons of Lineville AL. and Gail (George) Millender of Talladega, AL, and Four Brothers: Willie B. (Rena) Merritt, Hal (Olivia) Merritt, and Jeff (Sharon) Merritt all of Talladega, AL, Derona Simmons of Lineville, AL and  a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
