Mr. James Lewis âTonyâ Patterson was born on February 24, 1953 in Shelby County to the late Mr. John Willie Patterson and Mrs. Eddie Mae Walker Patterson.
He was educated in the Shelby County School System. He confessed Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church of Wilsonville, AL under the leadership of Rev. James Adams.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Shirley Cotton on March 13, 1972 to this union five children were born.
James leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Shirley Cotton Patterson; six loving sons, Tony (Demetria) Patterson Jr., Eric B. (Denise) Patterson, Brain E. (Julie) Patterson, Ethan A. Patterson,
Demetrius (Sonja) Player and Jamie Cotton all of Columbiana, AL; eleven grandchildren; one sister, Jewel Ann Cole; one brother, Johnny Lee (Debra) Patterson both of Columbiana, AL; one aunt, Cora Lee Kirskey of Sylacauga, AL; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; two special friends, Deacon Jasper Woods and Charles Montgomery, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
