Jeanette P White

Mrs. Jennette. P. White was born January 5 1917 in Talladega, AL to the parentage of the late Jomanuel and Hannah Pope.

Jennette was educated in Talladega County. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined the Africa Missionary Baptist Church where she loved her church and was a faithful member until she was unable to attend. Singing hymns and praying was her contribution while serving as a deaconess. 

Later she was united in Holy Matrimony to her late husband Arthur White, Sr. and to this union 9 children were born.

On Thursday, May 4, 2017 Big Mama departed this life to be with the Lord. 

Mrs. White, was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Arthur Jr. and Spurgon and one daughter, Jennetta Elaine.

Left to cherish her loving memory are her six children: Manuel White, Mary Ann (Jerome) Chapman, both of Talladega, AL, Estelle Franklin, Louisville, KY, Mary Lois (Cleophus) Locklear, Ann Taylor, both of Hackensack, NJ, Dorothy  McCall, Chino CA; A son-in-law: Michael Estelle, Talladega, AL; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; A special niece: Mary Cole, Talladega, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
