Sister Lessie Mae Cook begin life’s journey on March 22, 1934. She confessed Christ at an early age as her Lord and Savior. Mrs. Cook was born in Talladega County, to the late Mr. Carl and Mrs. Pauline Coleman. She was graduate of Phyllis Wheatly School and School for Tailoring in Birmingham, Alabama. She served faithfully on the Women Missionary Council at her local church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, Dennis Coleman, John Coleman, Amanda Player.
Mrs. Cook transitioned to her eternal life Friday, August 3, 2018 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Cook leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Matthew (Madria) Cook, Childersburg, AL, Benjamin(Annetta) Cook, Florence, AL, Terry (Diane) Cook, Birmingham, AL, Perry Cook Sylacauga, AL; two daughters, Pastor Betty (Bishop Wesley) Arije, Irene Cook, both of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Dejore Cook, Nyla Cook, both of Florence, AL, Chase Cook, Diamond Cook, both of Childersburg, AL; other numerous grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Estelle, Anniston, AL, Dorothy Coleman, Talladega, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.
