Mrs. Ada Mae Smoot

Ada Mae (McCain) Smoot entered eternal rest at the age of 102 on November 21st, 2024 at Coosa Valley Healthcare in Sylacauga, Alabama. Mrs. Ada Mae Lois (McCain) Smoot was born September 30, 1922 to the late Robert & Janie McCain. The youngest of 15. She joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and served as mission president for over 40 years and served in other auxiliaries as well. Ada joined in holy matrimony to the late Rev. William Smoot on Jan 27, 1945 from this union there was 8 children. Ada Mae was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Janie McCain. All 14 of her siblings, her children Evon & Eugene Smoot and 7 of her grandchildren. Ada Mae leaves to cherish her memories and legacy with her children Ida Robinson, Joe (Shirley) Smoot, Irene (Robert) Kirkland, Annie Liles, Diann (Terry) Chapman, 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and a host of other relatives.
