Roy Lee Harvey

Mr. Roy Harvey, was born, November 23, 1940, in Sylacauga, Alabama, to the parentage of the late Mr. Thomas Calvin (T.C) Harvey and Mrs. Lucy Pearl Harvey .

Roy confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Shiloh Baptist Church. He graduated from East Highland High School.  Roy was a carpenter by trade until his health failed.

Roy married Carolyn Threatt Harvey on March 23, 1963, and to this union four children were born.

Roy transition to his eternal life while a resident at Coosa Valley Nursing Home on  Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 7:15 A.M. He was preceded in death by, his parents and one brother Melvin Harvey, and one sister Claudia Threatt.

Roy leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Carolyn Harvey of Sylacauga, Alabama; two daughters, Dornita Wilson (Patrick Stearns) Special Friend Sylacauga, Alabama, Valerie (James) Swain, Pell City, Alabama; two sons, Roy N. (LeKenya) Harvey and Demetrius (Christina) Harvey both of Sylacauga, Alabama; 18 grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; three  sisters, Christine Tate, Doris Harvey, and Pauline Harvey all  of Cleveland Ohio;  two brothers, James (Frances) Harvey, Bessemer, Alabama, and John (Eleanor) Harvey, of Cleveland Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
